How do you tell a Samantha from AGOT?

I recently won an auction for an American Girl of Today. At least she was advertised as such! I received her today and am pretty sure she is a PM Samantha!

How exactly do you tell? Her hair is wavy and not straight, and she just looks like my PM Sam!

I would guess the wavy hair? I've sold the AGT that looks like Samantha in hair/eye color before (got her in a lot) and I've sold lots of Samantha dolls, and the main difference I noticed was that the AGT had straight hair.

Samantha's hair is also longer

Yep, the main differences are hair and eyes. The AGTs have slightly shorter hair that is straight, except for a little curl at the ends. Samantha should have longer, curly hair, though if she's an older doll, she may have lost her curls.

Also, AGT16 has brown pinwheel eyes like Addy and Josefina. Samantha has speckled eyes. You can see the closeups on the view larger option here:

Thanks so much for the information! According to the speckled eyes and wavy hair she is Samantha. She is PM from the eyelashes and no body tag.

So, I guess I will be adding her to my For Sale album shortly!
